Concrete Gravel Drum Screen Shaftless Mining Drum Screen Machine
Introduction:
The shaftless drum screen is an important material handling device based on the principle of drum screening. Its most significant feature is that there is no central shaft running through the entire screen body inside the drum. Unlike traditional vibrating screens, it relies on the slow rotation of the entire drum for screening. This design makes it particularly adept at handling materials with complex compositions, easy entanglement, and high moisture content, making it a core screening device in industries such as solid waste treatment, resource recycling, and mining.
Working Principle:
Feeding: The material to be screened is continuously fed into the feed end of the rotating drum via a conveyor or directly poured into the hopper of the shaftless drum screen.
Rotation and Lifting: Driven by a drive unit, the drum rotates slowly at a certain angle (usually 3-8 degrees). Internal lifting plates lift the material from the bottom.
Spreading and Screening: After being lifted to a certain height by the lifting plates, the material is spread down under gravity. In this continuous lifting and spreading process, the material becomes loose and fully contacts the screen plates on the inner wall of the drum.
Grading and Conveying: Particles smaller than the first layer of screen openings pass through the openings and fall to the next layer for further screening, while larger particles (oversize) remain in that layer. Due to the drum's angle and rotation, all material moves slowly axially from the higher feed end to the lower discharge end. Discharge: After multiple screenings, the finest material (undersize) is discharged from the bottom discharge port, while the oversize material of each layer is discharged from the corresponding discharge port at the end of the drum, thus enabling one device to produce multiple products with different particle sizes at the same time.

Strong Adaptability:The shaftless drum screen is particularly suitable for processing materials with complex compositions, high moisture content, and high viscosity, offering far greater adaptability than vibrating screens.
